A thrilled Prince Harry has given a statement to the media after the birth of his baby son.
Duchess of Sussex Meghan gave birth at 5.26am this morning - to a son weighing 7lbs 3oz.
Meghan went into labour in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday - with Prince Harry by her side throughout her labour.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are understood to be delighted with the news.
The Duchess's mother Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage.
Following the announcement of the birth Prince Harry appeared to the media at Windsor - with a huge grin on his face.
Speaking to Sky News - here is his statement in full.
The Duke of Sussex said: "I am very excited to announce that Meghan and myself have a baby boy. Early this morning a very healthy boy.
"Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined.
"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.
"We're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there. It's been amazing so we just wanted to share this with everybody.
"We're still thinking about names, the baby is a little bit overdue so we've had a little bit of time to think about it. But yeah that's the next bit.
"For us I think we'll be seeing you guys in two days time as planned as a family to be able to share it with you guys - so everyone can see the baby.
"I haven't been at many births, this was definitely my first birth, but it was amazing, absolutely incredible and as I said I am so incredibly proud of my wife.
"And as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, this little thing is absolutely to die for and I'm just over the moon.
"Thank you very much guys."
The baby's name has not yet been revealed - with the bookies going into overdrive with speculation on what the couple will name their baby son.
Paddy Power have Alexander and James as favourites - both priced at 7/2.
Arthur is another strong contender - with the odds at 6/1.
Oliver and Edward are other options - at 12/1, while Jacob is the outsider at 14/1
Ladbrokes have Arthur as their favourite at 5/1 with Alexander and Albert both at 8/1.
Thomas is at 12/1 - with outlandish options Matthew and Sebastian priced at 40/1
