A clever mother has worked out a way to stop her children constantly snacking while raising a little petty cash.
Like many mums, Sarah Balsdon was a little tired of her children eating her out of house and home.
Rather than opting for a difficult to reach cupboard or forgoing sweet treats entirely, the nurse decided to buy a vending machine.
The-mum-of-four snatched herself a bargain from Facebook Market Place where one was going for just £100.
Now her brood can buy themselves an unhealthy treat or push the buttons and get a healthy one for free.

Sarah wrote on her Instagram : "Lets see if they can sneak sweets and treats now!
"So sick of the arguments about unhealthy snacks (esp with lockdown) so I have bought a vending machine!
"If they want sweets they can do things (chores, school work etc) to earn money for them.

"The kids are very excited about this but not as excited as me!"
Sarah, who filled the machine up with treats from B&M, added: "I’m not unreasonable. I’ve put them in at cost price hahahaha."
It is not the first time the Newcastle mum has shown a knack for ingenious home hacks.
Last year Sarah and her husband Kyle transformed their conservatory into an incredible soft play room for the kids complete with a ball pit and slide.
They completed the renovations in secret, revealing the finished room to their youngest child, Elijah, on his second birthday.
The thrifty mum used foam tiles stuck down with tile adhesive on the floor and then attached strips of stripy material to the roof along with fairy lights to create a space like a circus.
She used superhero wallpaper to cover the walls and bought the soft play equipment online before filling the ball pit with some second-hand balls.
