Three young women rushed to hospital after New Year's Day car crash in Gurranabraher, Co Cork

Three young women were rushed to hospital following a car crash early on New Year's Day.

The incident happened at around 1:10am on Wednesday morning at Bakers Road, Gurranabraher, Co Cork.

Three women aged in their late teens and 20s, who were all in the same vehicle, were taken to Cork University Hospital.

They are understood to have minor, non life threatening, injuries.

A garda spokesman confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
