A young child has died from injuries sustained in a horrific crash on Morningside Road.
Police Scotland confirmed the three-year-old boy had died shortly after the incident.
The collision, on Morningside Road, Edinburgh involved a red Kia motor car and two pedestrians.

As a result, police said a 37-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy were taken to hospital, where the boy died and the woman was treated for her injuries.
There remains a large police presence at the scene, and the road remains closed whilst officers investigate.
A shopkeeper who was working nearby has described the moment she heard a "bang" as a car crossed the pavement and hit a mum and her young child.
Inspector Roger Park of Edinburgh Road Policing Unit said: "The heartfelt thoughts of my colleagues and I remain with the families involved in this absolutely tragic incident.
"We are providing support to the family and I would ask that the privacy of those involved are respected at this time.
