Three women left with 'bullet wounds' after 'drive-by shooting' in London

An alleged drive-by shooting in London has wounded three women and a man.

The horrific attack happened on Clarence Gardens in Camden, near Regent's Park, at around 10.10pm last night, the Daily Mirror reports.

Locals reported hearing gun shots and reportedly a gunman shooting out of a car as residents enjoyed a block party.

Video posted online shows a woman on her side on the floor as she is comforted by a group of people, including a man who tells her: "The most important thing is you're all right."

Another adds: "Stay calm."

The woman lay on her left side as someone appears to press their hand against her lower back or right hip.

Two injured women were treated at the scene and then taken to hospital, and a man and a female later went to hospital on their own, all with suspected gunshot wounds.

The shooting is not being treated as terror related.

But a Section 60 order, giving police greater stop and search orders, was issued until 7am on Sunday.

There have been no arrests in connection so far.

Forensics officers carried out an investigation at the scene and a police cordon remained in place on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said in a statement: "Police were called shortly before 10.10pm on Saturday, 14 August to reports of gunshots heard in the vicinity of Clarence Gardens, NW1

"Officers, including firearms officers, attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.

"Two women were treated at the scene for suspected gunshot injuries before being taken to hospital.

"A man and a female later self-presented at hospital with suspected gunshot wounds. We await an update on the condition of all four.

"A crime scene is in place and officers remain in the area. Enquiries continue.

"At this early stage there have been no arrests. This incident is not being treated as terror related.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference Cad 7619/14Aug.

"A Section 60 Order has been authorised across Camden borough from 23:36hrs on Saturday, 14 August until 07:00hrs on Sunday, 15 August."
