One person has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after three vehicles collided in Greenway on Sunday night.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the incident at the intersection of Drakeford Drive and Soward Way about 6.05pm.

An Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said firefighters had "conducted rescue operations".

She said paramedics had assessed two people at the scene, and transported one to hospital in a stable condition.

Speaking at about 7.20pm, the spokeswoman said paramedics and firefighters had left the scene.

About 8.45pm, an ACT Policing spokeswoman said the intersection had reopened.

Police had earlier been urging drivers to avoid the area, saying traffic was "severely affected" in all directions.
