A crash involving three vehicles sparked a major emergency service presence in Tyldesley.
Police were called to reports of a collision on Hough Lane just before 3pm on Tuesday (January 12).
Witnesses also saw fire crews and paramedics at the scene.
A 45-year-old man was treated for non-serious injuries.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing, a spokesman for GMP said.
In a statement, the force said: “Police were called at 2.55pm to a report of a collision involving three vehicles on Hough Lane, Tyldesley.
“A 45-year-old man was treated at the scene for non-serious injuries.
“A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving. He has been taken to custody for questioning.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
