Three-vehicle crash closes A370 amid emergency response

A key road was closed for an hour and a half yesterday afternoon (Monday, February 14) following a three-vehicle crash.

Police, fire, and ambulance were called to the A370 between Brockley and Cleeve at around 4.40pm where they found a three-vehicle crash. Three land ambulances were sent to the scene.

The road was closed until 6.15pm as emergency services assisted the people involved and recovered the vehicles.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “We were called at just after 4.40pm yesterday (Monday 14 February) to reports of a three-vehicle collision on the A370 between Brockley and Cleeve.

“The road was closed while emergency services attended and vehicle recovery work was carried out. It reopened at approximately 6.15pm.”

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 16.37hrs on Monday, February 14, to a road traffic collision on the A370 between Cleeve and Brockley. We sent three double-crewed land ambulances.”
