Three more coronavirus vaccination centres are due to start operating in Liverpool next week as the program to administer jabs ramps up.
Speaking in a video posted by Liverpool Council, NHS Liverpool chair Fiona Lemmens said two hospital hubs and eight vaccine centres were continuing to operate in the city, with more to follow.
Ms Lemmens, a GP, said the vaccine rollout would provide the most effective route to provide protection from coronavirus.
She said: "We've got two hospital sites and eight community sites that have already started vaccinating, with three more sites due to start next week.
All of the GP practices in Liverpool are working together to deliver the vaccination program so when it's your turn you may be contacted by a practice that is different from your normal GP practice and you may be asked to attend a site that is different to where you normally go to see your own GP."
She said the discrepancy between when different sites were able to start vaccinating meant not all over-80s, the current focus of the program, had yet been contacted but urged those people not to be concerned.

People are being advised to wait to be contacted by their GP about the vaccine and not to visit their surgery or a vaccination centre without being contacted to arrange an appointment.
Ms Lemmens said: "We know that people want to be vaccinated as quickly as possible and we have got lots and lots of people working very hard to make that happen.

More than 2.5million jabs have now been administered across the country, with the government aiming to have 13million people vaccinated by the middle of next month.
