Three tributes, some pyro and a new banner - West Ham moments you might have missed

Tributes to three people sadly no longer with us

Sometimes, the football family comes together in times of tragedy and that was evident on three occasions at London Stadium on Saturday.

Even before the game in his programme notes, skipper Mark Noble had revealed he lost both his grandmother and grandfather within days of each other between the defeats to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Then, in the 14th minute of the game on Saturday, the name Freddie Felton flashed up on the screen. Freddie, a massive West Ham fan and just 14 from Brentwood, was found unresponsive by his parents on February 19 this year when they went to wake him up.

A number of emergency services attended the house, including an air ambulance, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. He had a minutes applause.

Dodgy decisions (again), Antonio's form & headed goals galore - West Ham talking points

Then during the first half, and also as displayed during the warm up, the club remember Dylan Tombides, the former Hammer who passed away five years ago this week of cancer.

The Hammers players wore the logo of the foundation set up in Tombides' honour, DT38, on their warm up shirts pre-match as well.

Also pre-match, the Hammers posted a tribute on the big screen to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the former Leicester City owner and chairman who died alongside four others in a helicopter crash following the Hammers 1-1 draw with the Foxes at the King Power Stadium last October.

The pre-match pyrotechnics

Well, we'll let our video explain it for you all rather than try and put it into words.

There was also a new banner that did a little crowdsurf across the Billy Bonds Stand.
