Three trades that could happen on NFL Draft day two including Trey Lance move

The NFL Draft threw up a number of surprises in the first round - not least with Will Levis falling into the second round - and it's expected that numerous teams could sanction trades on Friday night and into the weekend.

The first round saw three quarterbacks come off the board within the first four picks, and one fall out of the first round completely. The day saw a number of trades go down, with teams moving up to get their guy, along with picks being exchanged for next year's exciting class.

But while no players were moved on Thursday, a few names could certainly be in the mix to be traded on day two - with some superstar calibre players available.

Here, Mirror Sport takes a look at three players in particular who have been linked with a trade away from their team and could be in contention to be moved on day two.

DeAndre Hopkins - WR (Arizona Cardinals)

Cardinals superstar DeAndre Hopkins has been known to be available throughout the past few months, with the team reportedly wanting a day two pick to secure a deal.

This off-season has been seen as a tough one to improve at wide receiver, with limited players available in free agency and not too many draft prospects still available who analysts see as having elite traits.

Should a team truly need a star wide receiver, they may feel forced to make a move for Hopkins, who they could acquire with just one pick.

The Cardinals are seemingly looking to shed his salary in order to rebuild their roster under their new head coach and general manager.

Budda Baker - S (Arizona Cardinals)

Another Cardinal, Baker is reported to have requested a trade away from the franchise with the team seemingly in rebuild mode.

Baker is one of the better players at the safety position in the NFL, but has been tired with the team's lack of success in recent years and could look to move on with the Cardinals potentially acquiring a few day two picks for him.

Baker went on record with his displeasure with the team just a few weeks ago. He told NFL.com: "I definitely felt like we were on the right path. You know in training camp it was definitely startling to not see a lot of the starters practicing and stuff like that.

"Cause I knew, you know especially with the pre-season games none of us played in the pre-season, it’s kinda just going through training camp, which was not a lot of people, and then we get to Week 1, it showed who was prepared. I don’t think we were as prepared in the beginning of when it all started than what we could’ve been."

Trey Lance - QB (San Francisco 49ers)

Trey Lance has been tipped to be traded by the San Francisco 49ers (GETTY)

The Niners might already be willing to move on from Lance after essentially trading years of their future away to move up to select him just two years ago.

Lance sat throughout his rookie year after not being able to displace Jimmy Garoppolo as the starter, but getting his shot the following season, only to suffer a season-ending injury and eventually being displaced as the long-term guy following the emergence of Brock Purdy.

According to Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline, the Niners are expected to receive offers for Lance, and could be tempted to move him with the team not having a draft pick until late in the third round.
