Three Tottenham players ruled out of Man City Champions League clash with injury

Tottenham Hotspur trio Erik Lamela, Eric Dier and Serge Aurier have all been ruled out of the Champions League quarter-final first leg clash with Man City on Tuesday.

Lamela hasn't played since the North London derby at the beginning of March after picking up a hamstring injury and his absence will make Spurs light on attacking options, especially off the bench.

Dier has missed the last two matches after picking up a hip injury while on international duty with England and Aurier is also suffering from a hamstring injury.

Tottenham tweeted that: "All three players are undertaking on-field rehabilitation and remain unavailable for selection."

They have received one potential injury boost however as striker Fernando Llorente has returned to training with the squad.

Pep Guardiola gives Sergio Aguero and Man City injury update ahead of Champions League clash with Tottenham

City are also struggling with injuries and have several key players are doubtful for the game.

Left-back Aleks Zinchenko is definitely out with a hamstring injury and there are doubts over Sergio Aguero, Kyle Walker and Fabian Delph.
