Three men were committed for trial today charged with violence and posing as cops following what police described as "a series of incidents" in Grangemouth, Stirlingshire in February and the start of March.
David Weir, 38, James Weir, 29, and Allan Wilson, 33, are all charged, on petition, with impersonating a constable with an intent to deceive, carrying offensive weapons, assault to injury, and assault causing severe injury.
Additionally, the three men are charged with using threatening and abusive behaviour, and Wilson is charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The trio, all from Grangemouth, made no plea at private hearings at Falkirk Sheriff Court.
Prosecutor Kristina Kelly continued the Crown's opposition to bail, and the three were fully committed and remanded in custody by Sheriff Derek Hamilton.
