Three things you should do immediately if you win the Lotto as punter scoops €11.2m jackpot

A very lucky punter is €11.2million richer after scooping last night's jackpot - but what should you do if you win?

The National Lottery is appealing for all players in Co Wicklow to check their tickets after the 15th largest prize ever was won there last night.

The winning numbers were 10, 13, 23, 24, 25, 44 and the bonus number was 12.

But if you've won the huge jackpot, the Lotto recommends you do the following immediately:

*Sign the back of your ticket

*Put it away in a very secure place

*Contact them to make arrangements on how to collect your prize.

A National Lottery spokesperson said it hopes to reveal the name of the winning store in the next couple of days, and we will keep you updated with our dedicated Lotto live blog.

The jackpot was close to being shared as another Laois player fell one number short, matching five numbers and the bonus ball.

This player has won €134,412 and they bought their ticket at Dunnes Stores at the Kyle Shopping Centre in Portlaoise.

The highest Lotto Jackpot in the history of the National Lottery was €18.9 million in Hegarty’s, Staplestown, Co Carlow, in June 2008.

Lotto players reported last night that the National Lottery app failed as they checked to see if they won the biggest jackpot in the past two years.

There was no winner of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize of €1million.

The winning numbers were 1, 14, 16, 31, 35, 45 and the bonus was 37.

While all the focus is surely last night’s Lotto jackpot win, the National Lottery spokesperson also confirmed that the Good Causes Fund was perhaps the biggest winner with funds raised in the most recent jackpot roll: “This jackpot has been rolling since Wednesday, June12 and since then Lotto sales alone have raised approximately €18.6 million for Good Causes all over Ireland.

"For over 32 years, this fund has been allocated to support worthwhile causes and local community projects across the country."
