Three things we spotted at Celtic training as Liel Abada returns and Carter-Vickers hard at work

Celtic have a huge Scottish Cup semi-final on the horizon with Rangers as they bid to take a major step towards a Treble.

But before the focus turns to that big game at the national stadium the players have been put through their paces with Motherwell making the trip to Glasgow for the final league fixture before the league splits into the top and bottom six. It's been an incredible 32 games to date for the Hoops with a whopping 30 wins and 100-goal barrier smashed. The points tally is not far off three figures and victory over the Steelmen can move it three points closer.

The Scottish champions hold a 12 point lead over Rangers at the Premiership summit and can increase that to 15 by close of play tomorrow with Michael Beale's men not in action until late afternoon on Sunday against Aberdeen. A victory in Glasgow's east end would move the table toppers another huge stride towards having back to back league titles confirmed.

Ready to go

Liel Abada is back in training and will provide another boost to the Celtic attacking line.

The Israeli has impressive stats in the scoring and assists charts since his arrival at Parkhead and this season is no different.

He's been linked with a summer exit with Benfica and Ajax said to be keen and will be disappointed with not starting more.

But a huge player for the final run-in as the Hoops bid to land a domestic Treble.

Cam as you like

Cameron Carter-Vickers was involved in training ahead of Motherwell's visit to Glasgow.

The key Celtic defender seems set for surgery before the end of the season to rectify an issue in time for the new campaign.

Whether he is involved tomorrow ahead of the big Scottish Cup clash with Rangers remains to be seen.

But seeing him looking relaxed at training will come as a boost to the Hoops faithful.

He was left out against Kilmarnock last weekend with the astro surface in mind but no issues in that regard will be needed tomorrow.

Glove battle

Joe Hart is Celtic's undisputed No1 and has been ever since Ange Postecoglou signed him.

But the back-up options behind him are pushing him hard as Benjamin Siegrist and No3 Scott Bain joined him for some hard graft.

The former Dundee United No1 arrived in the summer as back-up but suffered from injuries.

A potential run of games could come once the Premiership title is wrapped up for the men in reserve and they will be doing all they can to catch the eye and land a potential starting berth between now and the summer.
