Three teens killed when car crashed into tree named by police as family share tributes

Three teenagers killed when a car crashed into a tree have been named by police.

Martin Ward, 18, Mason Hall, 19, and Ryan Geddes, 19, died after a white Ford Fiesta they were travelling along Kiveton Lane in left the road on Sunday, October 24 at around 6.10pm.

Ryan's girlfriend left flowers and a touching tribute at the crash site, in Rotherham.

Her message read: ”Never in my life have I felt the true meaning of love till I met you Ryan.

"I love you with all my heart . Our child will grow up knowing how good you was. Love you xx” .

Another tribute left at the charred and bark-stripped base of the sycamore tree, read: ”Ryan, we are saddened by your passing.

"Such a nice lad who had so much to live for. Out thoughts are with you and your family."

A childhood friend also told how Mason, from Sheffield, South Yorks., was "one of the kindest people you could meet".

The pal, called Taylor, said: "He was such a kind person to everyone he met whether he knew them for a day or for a year.

"He was the type of person to give you his last tenner out of his pocket so he didn't see you go without.

"He was the type of person to make you laugh and pull you up when you were down."

Officers in Rotherham are keen for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and pass on any information they may have.

South Yorkshire police are appealing to anyone travelling along Kiveton Lane at the time who may have captured anything via dash cam.

They also want to speak to anyone in the area who may have seen or heard anything.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, message via social media or the online reporting portal, quoting incident number 676 of 24 October.
