Three teens held at knifepoint on same road in separate attacks

Three teenagers were threatened by thugs armed with a knife within minutes of each other.

The terrifying robberies are all reported to have happened on Whittle Avenue in Warrington on Wednesday (October 6).

Around 3pm, police received reports of three separate robberies on the same street.

In one robbery, thugs armed with a knife, stole a bike and watch from a 14-year-old boy.

In a second robbery, a 13-year-old boy was robbed of his mobile phone.

In a third robbery on the same street, thugs attempted to steal a bike from a 17-year-old boy.

When the victim refused, the thugs demanded money which they then stole.

Officers raced to Whittle Avenue and spoke to the victims and two suspects were identified.

Two 15-year-old boys, both from Widnes, were arrested on suspicion of the three robberies and have since been released on conditional bail.

Cheshire Police said all the property stolen has since been recovered and handed back to their owners.
