Three teenagers rushed to hospital after 'large scale' rammy in park near Glasgow

Three teenagers were rushed to hospital after a rammy at a park near Glasgow.

Police raced to Rouken Glen Park in East Renfrewshire following "numerous reports" of a "large scale disturbance" in the area at around 6.40pm last night.

The incident is said to have involved two groups of youths and a source said they saw "young adults with foil blankets on" near the pond, following the brawl.

Ambulance crews attended and three teenage boys aged 15, 16 and 17 were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The boys received treatment for injuries and have since been released from the hospital.

Police have launched a probe into the incident and they are asking any witnesses to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.40pm on Saturday, 20 March, police received numerous reports of a large scale disturbance involving two groups of youths in Rouken Glen Park, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and three male youths aged 15, 16 and 17 were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and later released.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information can contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3311 of Saturday, March 20.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
