Three teenagers killed in Highland crash near Fort William

THREE teenagers have died in a major crash in the Highlands, police have said.

Police Scotland said emergency services were called to the A830, the road between Mallaig and Arisaig, west of Fort William, at about 11.15pm on Thursday.

Formal identification had still to take place, but the driver and two passengers are understood to be male and in their mid teens.

Inspector Donnie MacKinnon said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who died as a result of this crash.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”

The A830 was closed to allow for investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 11.55am on Friday.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3941 of August 28, 2025.
