Three teenagers injured in 'large scale' rammy at Rouken Glen Park

Three teenage boys have been taken to hospital amid reports of a "large scale disturbance" at a park.

The 15, 16 and 17-year-olds were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to injuries following the rammy at Rouken Glen in Giffnock.

Police were called to the scene at 6.40pm last night after receiving multiple reports from the public.

Two groups of youths are understood to have been involved in the incident with a source telling the Daily Record they saw "young adults with foil blankets on" near the pond, following the brawl.

The lads were released from hospital after receiving treatment for their injuries.

Police have launched a probe into the incident and they are asking any witnesses to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.40pm on Saturday, 20 March, police received numerous reports of a large scale disturbance involving two groups of youths in Rouken Glen Park, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and three male youths aged 15, 16 and 17 were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and later released.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information can contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3311 of Saturday, March 20.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
