Three teenagers arrested after 'group attack' outside college

Three teenagers have been arrested after a boy suffered head injuries during an attack outside a college.

Police were called to Wellington Street, next to Bolton College, on Tuesday morning (October 19).

A teenage boy was taken to hospital with head injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 16-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys have now been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and violent disorder.

They have been released on bail but an investigation is underway.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers were called at around 11.30am on 19 October to a report of an assault outside of Bolton College, Wellington Street, Bolton.

"Emergency services attended and a male in his teens was taken to hospital with head injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Enquiries have established that the victim was attacked by a group of males.

"Three teenage boys, one aged 16 and two 17 have since been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and violent disorder. They been released on bail and enquiries are ongoing."
