Three teenagers and one man arrested as police called to fight

Three teenagers and a man have been arrested after a fight broke out in Oldham.

Police were called to reports of a fight between two groups of people on land off Hollins Road, Limeside at around 5.25pm on Saturday.

One man, 18, and three 16-year-old boys, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

One suspect was tracked down by officers from the police dog unit.

All four remain in custody, GMP said.

Another boy, 16, was suffered a minor injury that did not require hospital treatment.

Inspector Mark Lewis of GMP's Oldham District said: "Thanks to the swift response of our officers we were able to attend the scene shortly after the report was made to police and arrest four people.

"Thankfully, no-one was found to have sustained serious injuries as part of this incident.

"We will not tolerate this kind of lawless behaviour in our communities and I thank those members of the public who contacted us about this altercation."

Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 9015 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
