Three teenage boys arrested for possession of firearms in Llandaff Fields

Three teenage boys have been arrested for possession of firearms.

Officers received reports of youths with firearms in Llandaff Fields, Pontcanna, at around 4pm on Friday, August 20.

The three teens - a 14-year-old from Gabalfa, a 14-year-old from Llandaff and a 17-year-old from Pontypool - were all later arrested on Thursday, August 26.

They have now been released under investigation.

South Wales Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed "the three boys' behaviour" to contact them directly.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Following reports of youths with firearms in Llandaff Fields at around 4pm on Friday 20 August in Llandaff Fields, Pontcanna, officers carried out executive action on the 26 August and made three arrests.

"Three boys were arrested for possession of firearms and have been released under investigation. The arrests include a 14 year-old from Gabalfa, a 14 year-old from Llandaff and a 17 year-old from Pontypool.

"Detectives are still appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the behaviour of the three boys or who has any information to contact us quoting reference 2100293644."
