Three taken to hospital with serious injuries following South Belfast collision

Three people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision in South Belfast.

Emergency services were called to the two vehicle collision on the Manse Road at around 4.25pn on Monday, August 15.

The air ambulance was also sent to the scene.

Three people suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital for further treatments, although their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for around five hours before reopening again at 9.25pm.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Officers attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the Manse Road, Castlereagh shortly before 4.25pm on Monday, 15th August.

"Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

"Three people were transported to hospital for treatment to their injuries that whilst serious, are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The road re-opened shortly before 9.25pm on Monday, following earlier diversions in the area.

"Anyone who was on the Manse Road during this time, and who witnessed anything or has dash-cam footage of this collision, can contact police on 101 quoting reference 1391 of 15/08/22."
