Three taken to hospital after lorry and car crash in Sale

Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a lorry and a car in Sale.

The lorry and vehicle collided on the A6144 Carrington Lane shortly after 2pm today.

The driver and two passengers from the car have been taken to hospital.

The extent or seriousness of their injuries is not known.

Carrington Lane is closed between Flixton Road and the Carrington Spur.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: "We were called at around 2.15pm to a report of a collision involving a car and a lorry on Carrington Lane, Sale.

"Three occupants of the car have gone to hospital.

"There have been no arrests and our enquiries are ongoing."
