Three takeaways from Bears-Packers

Three key takeaways from the Bears’ season opener against the Packers:

• Floyd feeling the flow. Leonard Floyd probably wishes he could play the Packers every day. The outside linebacker had two sacks in the first half, bringing his career totals against the Bears’ rivals to 7 ½ sacks, 10 quarterback hits and seven tackles for loss. Against the rest of the NFL, Floyd has 10 sacks,24 quarterback hits and 18 tackles for loss.

• RRH. Short of Khalil Mack, no Bears defender looked sharper than defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris, who recorded a first-half sack and should have been credited with at least half of Akiem Hicks’. While most of the Bears’ starters sat out every meaningful preseason snap, Robertson-Harris appeared in 69 defensive plays.

• CD at RB. The Bears used receiver Cordarrelle Patterson at running back — a position he played at times for the Patriots last year — on a significant play. It failed. On third-and-1 at the Packers’ 39 in the second quarter, Patterson lined up behind Trubisky, took a handoff, and lost two yards. The Bears punted.
