Three stabbed in Partick as victims fight for life after Dumbarton Road bookies attack

Three people have been stabbed in a late night attack in Partick which has left victims fighting for life.

Police have locked down the Betfred bookmakers on Dumbarton Road following the incident last night (Wednesday), with forensics spotted at the scene early this morning.

Officers have confirmed to Glasgow Live three were rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the west end attack, where they are being treated for 'serious and life-threatening injuries'.

Footage posted on Twitter by Nicky Taylor shows the Betfred bookmakers taped off and police officers and ambulance staff at the scene.

Police have now launched an investigation following the incident, and are appealing for witnesses.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 8.45pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 following reports of three people being stabbed on Dumbarton Road, Glasgow.

"Three people were taken to Queen Elizabeth University hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3847."
