Three sisters have given birth to their children on the same day, at the same hospital, just hours apart.
Daneesha Haynes, Ariel Williams and Ashley Haynes, from Mansfield, Ohio, were initially due to give birth at different points throughout July.
However, on 3 July, the sisters ended up all giving birth at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, with the help of the same doctor, The Mansfield News Journal reported.
According to the outlet, the sisters were all induced by Dr Edroy McMillan, who then delivered the three babies in a four-and-a-half hour time period.
With the triple birth, the sisters beat one in 50m odds, according to a 1988 Associated Press story, which cited the odds in relation to a previous occasion where three sisters gave birth on the same day.
"It was a blessing. It's amazing," Daneesha, 25, said. "This kind of blew everybody away."
Williams, 20, became the first of the sisters to deliver her baby, when she gave birth to Sincere Young at 10.10am.
Ashley, 27, was next, giving birth to her fifth child, son Adrion, at 11.26 am on the same day, despite the infant’s initial due date of 7 July.
Daneesha was the last sister to give birth, with her daughter Emrie Haynes born at 2.43pm.
According to Daneesha, she was originally due to give birth on 23 July, but was “high-risk,” with doctors deciding to induce labour three weeks early.
After the doctors induced the trio, Daneesha said she got “emotional” - but also wanted to be the first of her sisters to give birth.
"We were in a race. Once we had our water break, I was just trying to be the first,” she told The Mansfield News Journal.
Despite giving birth to the smallest of the newborns, the sisters’ mother Deborah Ware told the outlet she’s confident Emrie will end up outgrowing her cousins.
"She's the smallest, but she's going to pass everybody up," Deborah told the outlet. "You watch."
With the family’s three new additions, Ware’s number of grandchildren jumped from 11 to 14 in a single day.
