Three rescued after house collapses in Thornton Heath explosion

Three people have been rescued after a house collapsed in an explosion in Thornton Heath, south London.

Around 40 firefighters and six fire engines were tackling the fire after the explosion in Galpin’s Road on Monday morning.

The Brigade said a terraced house had collapsed and neighbouring properties had been damaged.

In an update, shortly before 11am, firefighters said three people had been rescued.
