Three pundits predict North London Derby as Tottenham backed and Arsenal overlooked

Arsenal and Tottenham renew their rivals at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in the latest North London derby.

Both teams head into this one having won in Europe with Arsenal defeating Olympiacos in Greece on Thursday and Spurs beating Dinamo Zagreb at home.

But it's Jose Mourinho's men who come into this one in the best form, winning their last five games, a run that has taken them within five points of the top four with a game in hand.

Spurs now believe they have a real chance of challenging for a Champions League clash, but Arsenal will be looking to spoil that by advancing their own top-six hopes.

It's set up to be an intriguing derby, and ahead of the clash, we have rounded up three pundit predictions. Take a look below.

Mikel Arteta gives honest verdict on Arsenal's season so far

Michael Owen - Arsenal 1-1 Spurs

Owen told BetVictor: "This game is always a huge occasion, and with both sides now hitting form, this one’s set up to be an exciting match. I’d expect Arsenal to have most of the territory here with Spurs hoping to catch the Gunners on the counter.

"To a certain extent, I think that could work. However, I was very impressed with Arsenal’s win in the Europa League midweek, and with both playing so well, I could see them cancelling each other out."

Dimitar Berbatov - Arsenal 1-3 Spurs

Speaking as part of his Betfair predictions, Berbatov said: "Son, Kane and Bale will cause problems for Arsenal as they just concede goals. I will go with Spurs.

"I played with Bale early on in his career and when you play with other great players, you know how to understand each other, so it’s no surprise for me to see how well that front three is doing."

Mark Lawrenson - Arsenal 0-2 Spurs

Mark Lawrenson told BBC Sport: "Tottenham are firing properly now - they have scored four goals in three of their past four games - and Jose Mourinho is always very keen to let people know about it.

"I don't blame Jose for banging his drum about it, because Spurs have hit form and found some consistency.

"That's what Arsenal need - they have produced some good performances recently but I am still not really sure what to expect from them week to week."
