The January transfer window is always an interesting on for Manchester City.
Of course, Pep Guardiola is always looking to improve his playing squad, and the in-season market is an opportunity to do so if they're looking to enhance their chances of making the season a successful one.
But so far in his career as City boss, he's only brought in two first-team players in January - Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus, with the latter being agreed to in the previous summer market.
However, they are usually active in the market - signing numerous academy players in the past.
This year, they've already brought in one who has a clear pathway into first-team in Julian Alvarez.
Even if the transfer may not be officially announced until the final day of the January transfer window as all i s are dotted and t s crossed, the River Plate president has confirmed the deal is effectively done and Alvarez and his agent have again exchanged messages celebrating their partnership on social media.
Though Alvarez is expected to be loaned back to the Argentine side before joining City in the summer.
City are sitting pretty at the top of the table, and remain hopeful in the Champions League and the FA Cup.
It's fair to say it would be surprise if they dip into the market at this point, but with Liverpool making a marquee signing earlier today, a move can never be ruled out.
Here's three players who oddsmakers believe City are in the market to land before tomorrow.
Paulo Dybala (Juventus) - 12/1
A player who is set to become a free agent this summer, Juventus could look to acquire a fee for Dybala if they're able to move him tomorrow.
The Italian club may be more interested to deal the Argentine, after making two marquee signings themselves in Denis Zakaria and Dusan Vlahovic.
Paulo Dybala is a very creative attacking player, showing throughout he's career that he's one of the better number 10's in world football - being involved in 160 goals in 250 games at the top level for Juventus.
Harry Kane (Tottenham) - 20/1
A move to City looked like it was inevitable at one point this summer, but nothing materialised with Jack Grealish being brought in instead.
Kane has struggled so far this season, scoring just five goals in the league so far - a farcry from his usual tally by this point of the campaign.
A move for the England captain could be back on this summer, but it would be a huge shock to the footballing world if it would go through before tomorrow's deadline.
Erling Haaland (20/1)
Erling Haaland's £66 million release clause is arguably the worst kept secret in football.
A number of European clubs including City, Chelsea, Bayern, Real Madrid and PSG are all expected to be in for the Norweigan striker - who seems almost certain to leave Dortmund this summer.
Could City offer more than £66 million and jump the queue? It would be fantastic business - considering he's worth double the transfer fee.
It's obviously highly unlikely, but we'll see if there's any rumours about his future.
