Three people have suffered serious injuries in a crash involving two cars and a pedestrian earlier today.
The incident happened at around 11am on the A736, Glasgow Road, just south of its junction with Hurlet Road in Barrhead.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and a 60-year-old pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
A 33-year-old man, who was the driver of one of the cars, also sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The second driver, a 54-year old man, was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, with serious injuries.

Sergeant David Bulloch, of Glasgow’s road policing unit, said: “This was a serious crash that resulted in three people being taken to hospital and we are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would ask anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage of a white Vauxhall that can help with our collision investigation to get in touch. I would also ask anyone in the area with private CCTV to contact us.
“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident number 1176 of Monday, 14 June, 2021.”
