A horror smash involving two cars and a pedestrian in Barrhead has left three people seriously injured in hospital.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A736 Glasgow Road, just south of the junction with Hurlet Road, at around 11am on Monday, June 14.
A 60-year-old woman, who was walking in the area, and 33-year-old driver have been rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
A 54-year-old man, who was behind the wheel of the second motor, was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
The road was closed while a full accident investigation was carried out and now detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have footage of a white Vauxhall that was in the area at the time.
Sergeant David Bulloch, of Glasgow’s road policing unit, said: “This was a serious crash that resulted in three people being taken to hospital and we are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would ask anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage of a white Vauxhall that can help with our collision investigation to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone in the area with private CCTV to contact us.
“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident number 1176 of Monday, 14 June, 2021.”
