Three people rushed to hospital and road closed after multi-car crash in Co Tipperary

Three people were hospitalised after a serious crash in Co Tipperary on Friday afternoon.

The multi-car collision happened near Clonmel at 3:30pm with emergency services closing the road for a time.

Those involved were treated at the scene with three being taken by ambulance to hospital.

None of the injuries sustained are believed to be life threatening.

The road reopened a short time after the crash.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving four cars that occurred at approximately 3:30pm on Friday, 19 November, 2020, at Lisronagh, Clonmel, County Tipperary.

A number of people were treated by ambulance at the scene and three persons were taken to South Tipperary General Hospital with what’s reported as non-life threatening injuries."
