Three people in court charged with murder of Caroline Glachan

Three people have appeared in court today charged with the murder of Bonhill teenager Caroline Glachan.

The body of the 14-year-old was discovered on the banks of the River Leven, near Renton on 25 August, 1996.

Robert O'Brien, 43, Andrew Kelly and Donna Brand, both 42, all appeared in private before Dumbarton Sheriff Court.

They made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.

All three will return to court next week.

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger, of the Major Investigations Teams and senior investigating officer on the case, said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who have assisted with our investigation and those who have come forward with important information surrounding Caroline’s death.”
