Three people hospitalised following crash on Well Street

Three people were admitted to hospital following a serious crash on Paisley road yesterday.

The incident occurred around 4.10pm yesterday and saw a collision involving a cyclist and a car on Well Street near to the fenced-off section at the entrance to Underwood Lane.

The 28-year-old male cyclist was put in the back of an ambulance and rushed to the Royal Alexandria Hospital for treatment.

The car's passenger and driver, a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were also taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.10pm on Monday, 8 August, 2022, officers attended Well Street in Paisley following a report of a collision between a car and a cyclist.

“The 28-year-old male cyclist was taken by ambulance to Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley for treatment.

“The occupants of the car, a 40 year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, were also taken to hospital as a precaution.”
