Three people charged over Southampton protests after Henry Nowak’s murder

  • Three more people have been charged with violent disorder following protests in Southampton earlier this week.
  • The demonstrations, which took place outside a police station, resulted in 11 police officers and one dog sustaining injuries.
  • Public anger erupted after the release of police body-worn video related to the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak .
  • The footage showed Nowak being placed in handcuffs moments before his death, with officers ignoring his pleas that he had been stabbed.
  • Connor Bishop, 24, of Oxford Street, Southampton, Reece Robinson, 21, of Soberton Road, Havant, and Noah Etherington, 18, of Rowbury Road, Havant, will appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning, Hampshire Police said.
