Three local organisations will provide support for carers after being awarded four-year contracts by North Lanarkshire health and social care partnership.
Help for those of all ages who take on a caring role is available from Action for Children young carers’ project, Lanarkshire carers’ centre and North Lanarkshire Carers Together.
Lanarkshire carers’ centre offers direct support for adults, while Action for Children helps young people with education, training and employment and leisure and social opportunities.

North Lanarkshire Carers Together provides information, campaigns on behalf of carers, links them with professionals and raises awareness about the issues faced.
Health and social care partnership chief officer Ross McGuffie said: “These excellent organisations to provide vital ongoing support to both adult and young carers across North Lanarkshire.”
