Three Ohio State wide receiver commits take all three spots of 247Sports The Opening Final Dream Team

The Ohio State receiving corps is in pretty good shape heading into the future. It already has depth and talent coming back in the fold for next year — including human-highlight reel in the making Garrett Wilson — but there is more on the way.

The Buckeyes have arguably the best wide receiver class in the country coming to Columbus in 2020, and there’s now another reason to believe that’s the case.

If you haven’t been around this past week, The Opening Finals is currently taking place, and Julian Fleming, Jaxson Smith-Njigba, and Gee Scott, Jr. all made names for themselves against other future All-Americans. In fact, all three made 247Sports The Opening Finals’ Dream Team — and there’s only three spots to be had.

This is really a remarkable achievement both for all three spots to be taken by future Buckeyes, and for all of them to be from the receiver position.

Ohio State might be known more for the glamour running back position, but that’s about to change. Running backs should still be coming to Columbus in droves, but with Ryan Day as the head coach, and Brian Hartline as the wide receivers coach, future blue chip receivers are catching on.
