Three Ohio State football players (or former) projected with the first three picks of PFF 2020 Mock Draft

With the first three picks of the Pro Football Focus 2020 Mock Draft, there were two Ohio State football players (and one former Buckeye) taken off the board.

Ohio State’s defense is next level, boasting several NFL-ready prospects.

With that in mind, Pro Football Focus, a football site gaining in respect and following that grades every NFL and most college games, put out their most recent mock draft. Low and behold, it included two players from the nation’s second-best OSU defense.

Defensive end Chase Young and cornerback Jeffrey Okudah were the second and third pick according to the Twitter graphic. And … No. 1 was former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow, who is now slinging passes around for LSU and gaining steam in the 2019 Heisman race.

The Buckeyes expect to have several other draft picks aside from just these two. Just last year, there were nine former Buckeyes taken, and seeing the Scarlet and Gray go early and often has been a yearly staple for the NFL Draft.

With Young and Okudah, wide receiver K.J. Hill and running back J.K. Dobbins, there are plenty of OSU players that could get their name called in the early rounds again this spring.

For now, it’s nice to see at least a couple of Buckeyes projected to be taken at the top of the first round.
