Three persons of a family were killed and one sustained injuries when the car in which they were travelling collided with a milk tanker at Kakkavayal in the district on Tuesday.
The police identified the deceased as Pravish, 39, at Pattavayal in Tamil Nadu, his wife Srejisha, 34, and his mother Premalatha, 62. Pravish’s three-year-old son Arav was admitted to a private hospital in Kozhikode with serious injuries.
The accident occurred around 11.30 a.m. while the family was returning home to Pattvayal after attending a wedding at Balussery in Kozhikode district. The tanker was heading towards Mananthavady after loading milk from Sulthan Bathery, said police sources.
