Eddie Howe has been linked with replacing Steve Bruce as the next Newcastle United manager and his potential appointment could have a major impact on the squad.
The Magpies have failed to win any of their opening 10 Premier League matches and currently sit second bottom on four points, just ahead of Norwich City.
It has been a dismal start to the season for the Magpies, but Howe has the potential to turn their fortunes around and ensure they stay in the top-flight.

At Bournemouth, the 43-year-old was renowned for his attacking, free-flowing style of football and it brought them so much success before they were relegated at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Under Steve Bruce, Newcastle were much more pragmatic in possession and supporters were often frustrated at their lack of ambition, although that could all change if Howe is given the job.
A number of players might also benefit from this change and here are three in particular who can shine in the former Burnley boss' front-foot system.
Callum Wilson
A natural goalscorer, Wilson is Newcastle's leading marksman so far this season, having netted four goals in seven league appearances.
This is despite being out for almost two months through injury and it's safe to say he will be crucial for the Magpies should they manage to survive.
Wilson, however, could get even better under Howe's management and the latter will try to make them better in possession, which will improve the service into the striker.
Having played at Bournemouth with Howe for six seasons, Wilson knows his philosophy inside out and could replicate his scincilating form he showed during his time on the south coast.
With Allan Saint-Maximin next to him, Wilson has the quality beside him to create opportunities, but it just might require the right tactic or shape to fit everything together.
Matt Richie
One of Newcastle's better performers so far this season, Richie has been posting some impressive creative numbers and might feel unfortunate not to have recorded more assists to his name.
He has set-up the fourth most chances in the division so far this season with 24, behind Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah.
However, this has only led to one assist for the Magpies wing-back, but Howe's attacking approach may help Richie as there tends to be more bodies in the box, especially from crosses.
That's something Richie thrives on, having registered 10 goal contributions in 36 appearances at Howe's Bournemouth during the 2015/16 season.
He has the ability to replicate that number if Howe manages to fit him in that right system, with midfield runners and options inside the area, including the likes of Joe Willock, Joelinton and Wilson.
Ryan Fraser
After making the switch from the Cherries in September 2020, it's safe to say Fraser has struggled to fulfil his potential and cement a regular first-team spot in the side.
He made just 18 appearances, making just three assists and had a number of injury issues to condemn with during a troublesome maiden campaign on Tyneside.
However, Fraser has shown he can make a real difference in games and Howe was the man to get the best out of him at Bournemouth.
The 27-year-old chipped in with a mammoth seven goals and 14 assists in the 2018/19 season, which saw him named as Bouremouth's Player of the Year and Supporters' Player of the Year.
He formed a frightening partnership with Wilson and they looked like scoring at every possible opportunity, with Howe utilising Fraser's pace to perfection.
As the Scotland international often stayed out on the left-wing, he was able to drift inside and create space for others, while driving at defenders and causing havoc.
There could be a case to make that Bruce's defensive-minded system didn't suit Fraser and he certainly has talent at his disposal, but needs the right manager to get him back on track.
