Three new Dublin bus routes set to launch this month

Three new Dublin bus routes will be launched this month in a huge change to thousands of commuters.

The new services will kick off as part of the latest phase of the NTA BusConnects initiative. W4, W61, and W62 will be running from June 25 in connection with Phase 5A.

These services will focus on the west and southwest of Dublin along with nearby areas in Co Kildare. Buses on the W4 route will travel from The Square in Tallaght to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre via Grange Castle and Liffey Valley.

The W61 will run from Maynooth Community College and will go through Salesian College, Celbridge Main Street, and Willow Avenue before terminating at Hazelhatch Station in Co Kildare. Furthermore, the W62 bus will start at Newcastle and will run through Citywest Road and Brookfield Road, ending at The Square in Tallaght.

Commuters with Leap Cards can avail of the TFI 90 Minute Fare on these services meaning they'll only have to pay a flat fee to transfer between buses. The new routes will run every 15 to 30 minutes on weekdays starting from 5am and every hour between 10pm and 11pm.

On Saturdays, buses will run every 30 minutes during the day and every hour at 10pm and 11pm and between 5am and 6am in the mornings. Services will begin at 7am on the Sunday schedule and will run every hour until 9am, switching to every 30 minutes during the day before returning to at 10pm and 11pm.
