A hospital trust in Leeds has recorded a further three coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours.
The deaths were recorded at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which is the highest number of deaths recorded in Yorkshire over the past day.
Across trusts in the county, a further six deaths were recorded.
Most hospital trusts in the region recorded no further deaths, though Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust all recorded one death each.
Hospitals across England have recorded a further 55 deaths, which brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in English hospitals to 28,490.
Patients were aged between 49 and 98 years old. One patient, aged 70, had no known underlying health conditions.
This comes as the global impact of coronavirus is revealed, with the World Health Organization (WHO) confirming that nearly 10 million people around the world have tested positive for the virus.
Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director general, told a press briefing in Geneva: "More than 9.1 million cases of Covid-19 have now been reported to WHO, and more than 470,000 deaths.
"In the first month of this outbreak, less than 10,000 cases were reported to WHO. In the last month, almost four million cases have been reported.
"We expect to reach a total of 10 million cases within the next week."
