Three Monklands roads set for closures this month

By Ian Bunting

Leven Road in Coatbridge is shutting for five days from next Monday, September 13, between Deveron Street and Wye Crescent.

This is for the completion of carriageway resurfacing works and motorists can use Tantallon Drive and Townhead Road as diversions.

Another road in the town, Crinan Crescent, will close from 9.30am to 6pm on September 15 to allow for manhole replacement works.

It will be shut between property two and Devron Street, with the latter acting as a diverted road.

And work being carried out by Scottish Water will see Glenmavis’ Waddell Avenue close 9.30am to 6pm on September 20.

The closure applies from Rydenmains Road to Quarryside Street and the former road and MacArthur Avenue will be available to drivers as alternative routes.
