Life doesn’t seem to be getting any easier for Dan Snyder.
After the last week has been filled with news of sponsors pleading for a name change for the Washington Redskins, now the latest news is that three minority owners of the team are looking to sell their stock after getting fed up with Snyder, according to the Washington Post.
According to one of those people, the owners — Robert Rothman, Dwight Schar and Frederick W. Smith — hired an investment banking firm to conduct the search for potential buyers, in large part because they are “not happy being a partner” of majority owner Daniel Snyder.
The post earlier ran an article claiming that in the past few months, Snyder has been decreasing the size of the circle of people he trusts, and many believe that he often works to talk to a number of people until he gets told exactly what he wants to hear.
The three minority owners reportedly hold about 40% of ownership outside of Snyder, and they are the only members of the teams ownership group outside of Snyder, his mother, and his sister.
