Three Michigan State Football alumni signed to New Orleans Saints practice squad

Earlier today, we posted a story about Joe Bachie being signed to the New Orleans Saints practice squad. Well, he wasn’t the only Spartan to join that practice team, as two more players are reportedly following him to the practice squad. According to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, Bennie Fowler and Andrew Dowell will also be joining Bachie with that group.

Fowler was signed about a month ago by the Saints after a chance workout with Drew Brees led to a recommendation by the Pro Bowl quarterback for him to join the team. Before the Saints, Fowler has spent time with the New York Giants and Denver Broncos.

This will be Dowell’s second straight season on the Saints practice squad.
