Three Merseyside restaurants have been named among the most romantic in the UK.
According to OpenTable’s 50 Most Romantic Restaurants in the UK 2020 list, there are three venues in Merseyside that make the cut.
The list, which is determined by analysing more than 1,080,000 reviews from more than 8,500 restaurants across the UK.
In no particular order, Anton Piotrowski’s Roski and Gary Usher’s Pinion and Wreckfish made the list.
2012 Masterchef winner Piotrowski moved to Liverpool to open Roski in 2017 and has proven so popular that it even took 1,000 bookings in just 24 hours in December 2018.
Chef Gary Usher’s Wreckfish Bistro has been popular with Merseyside diners since opening in 2017, serving “simple bistro food” such as torched sea trout, roast breast of guinea fowl, and butternut squash risotto.
While, Pinion made waves in Prescot after receiving backing from hundreds of people on Kickstarter.
The restaurant raised a huge £16,000 in the first 15 minutes of the campaign, had reached £31,405 after 30 minutes and by 10pm the same night had reached the full £50k needed to open.
