Four men have been arrested after police were called to reports of a rammy involving knives and poles in North Lanarkshire.
Officers raced to reports of a 'disturbance' in Gateside Road in Craigneuk around 11.30pm on Monday March 8.
The alarm was raised over group of men allegedly brandishing 'knives and metal poles' in the street.
Three men, aged 28, 29 and 32, were arrested in connection with the incident.
Police also arrested a 29-year-old man for illegal use of a quad bike on Gateside Road.
The man's quad was seized by cops.
A spokesperson from Lanarkshire Police Division said: "At 11.30pm on Monday, March 8 police responded to an ongoing disturbance on the street at Gateside Road, Craigneuk involving males with knives and metal poles.
"Police attended and through investigation arrested three males aged 28, 32 and 29.
"Police also arrested a 29-year-old male for Illegal use of a quad on Gateside Road and his quad was seized."
A spokesperson assured locals that there will be an increased police presence in the area and that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
Anyone with information on people carrying weapons or illegal use of motorbikes and quads is being urged to come forward.
The spokesperson added: "Over the next few weeks there will be increased visibility by police in Craigneuk and those conducting themselves in an anti-social manner will be dealt with robustly.
