Three men to stand trial after denying the murder of Gartcosh dad

Three men are to stand trial in July after denying the murder of a Gartcosh dad.

Stephen Anderson was killed last October 29 but Stephen Mack, 53, Jackson Mack, 21, and Cain Carr, 20, say it wasn't them who did it.

Prosecutors allege they tied his limbs together, covered his mouth with tape and restricted his breathing by compressing his chest and neck.

It is also alleged they repeatedly punched him on the head and body, struck him with a metal pole, hit him with a machete and robbed him of his car keys and wallet.

Stephen Mack is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by pretending to Mr Anderson's wife and son he had not seen him on the day of his death.

It is also alleged he took part in a search for Mr Anderson while his body lay in Stephan Mack's house.

Judge Lord Matthews set a trial date for July.
